In order for any of your products to actually ship, they must first be properly mapped. Mapping consists of two components: 


Item Mapping

and

Shipping Mapping


This article will cover both components so that you can confidently map any order. Remember, your orders will not get sent through to fulfillment unless they are mapped. Fortunately, ShipMonk alerts you when you have orders that require your action. You can find these orders by logging into your account and viewing the "Action Required" orders.


Item Mapping


Step 1: Log into your Shipmonk account and find the Action Required section of "Orders". 




Step 2: Click on the order number in question under the Action Required tab. Clicking anywhere else will likely not take you to the order screen, and that's where you will need to go to map items. 



Step 3: Take a look at the order and make sure that the action required is indeed mapping. We can see under "Status" that there is invalid mapping and/or invalid shipping. So we can proceed. 




Step 4: Under "Product Information", you will see the SKU(s) that needs to be mapped. In this case, this partner's Marketplace SKU was imported as SQ5003589. However, because this SKU does not match the Physical Product SKU in Shipmonk, the system has no idea what to do with it. That is why we must map this SKU! As you may suspect, you can do so by clicking the red "Map SKU" link. 



Step 5: The "Item Mapping" pop-up window will appear. Start typing the product name or SKU as it appears in your ShipMonk inventory





Step 6: If you did so correctly, a drop-down list will auto-populate. Select the appropriate SKU you would like mapped. Once you have selected it appropriately, click "Save". 


Step 7: You can now see, on the order screen, that the SKU is mapped! In the future, whenever an order is submitted in the system under Marketplace SKU sku-1125525, ShipMonk will interpret it as Physical Product SKU sku-42312.




Shipping Mapping

        
        Now for orders that are invalid due to "Invalid or not chosen shipping method". You'll have to map methods to each Requested Shipping Service (the shipping option that gets imported from your online store).

Step 1: Under Packaging & Shipping, we can see the weight and dimensions of the box. The requested shipping service is "none". We need to "Map Shipping", because Shipmonk doesn't understand what "none" means. Let's map the shipping! To do so... click "Map Shipping".  




Step 9: Clicking that link will bring up the "Shipping Mapping" pop up window. Here, you can select your shipping. In general, we strongly recommend considering clicking "Let Shipmonk Choose", as we will choose the most cost-effective options without sacrificing reasonable delivery times. Let's click "Let Shipmonk Choose!"



Step 10: You can see that Shipmonk chose DHL eCommerce 1lbs+ Expedited as the best option. So from now on, for any domestic orders over one pound that come in with shipping chosen as "none", Shipmonk will understand that this means "DHL eCommerce 1lbs+ Expedited". 




Step 11: Success! This order is now processing and will be submitted for fulfillment in short-order. Notice the complete lack of error flags.
