If you use Shopify as your shopping cart of choice, it is important you set up "Inventory Sync," so ShipMonk can automatically update your ShipMonk inventory levels with Shopify every 3 hours. Activating "Inventory Sync" will ensure that your stocking levels are accurate and that you don't oversell product that is no longer in-stock or to properly manage backorders.
Step 1. Hover your mouse over the settings gear and click "Stores"
Step 2. In the "Actions" section next to your store, click "View"
Step 3. In the "EDIT STORE" menu, click on "Inventory Sync" then click "Save"
You're done! Your ShipMonk inventory levels will now automatically sync to your Shopify inventory levels.
1. How often does my inventory sync?
ShipMonk syncs inventory every 3 hours, however, you can change the timing if you contact a Happiness Engineer.
If you're only selling on Shopify, then every time a sale is made it will deduct inventory from both Shopify and ShipMonk so by default they're both going to match.
If you are selling on multiple channels other than Shopify, ShipMonk does NOT at this time sync inventory with any other shopping carts or third-party marketplaces. Therefore, you will need to manually check up on your stock levels on both ShipMonk and your marketplace/shopping cart to ensure that both are matching.
