I. Introduction

Special projects are one-off tasks that fall outside of the scope of the regular pick and pack process or subscription box kitting and assembly. They include jobs like counting inventory, labeling, repackaging and/or bagging products, kitting and/or bundling, quality control, and any other generic tasks that aren’t typical fulfillment tasks like picking and packing.

Before performing a special project for the first time, though, we recommend having us conduct a time study to determine how long the task should take so you’ll know how much the task will cost.

II. Instructions

Step 1. Got to the ShipMonk Support Portal and click on "Submit a Ticket" on the top right-hand corner.

Step 2. In the "Topic" drop-down menu select "Special Project". After selecting "Special Project", the prompts will change. Your window should now look like the photo below.

Step 3. Please fill in the prompts as detailed and accurate as possible. The more information that we have to relay to our special project team, the more efficiently and effectively we can handle your request. Once you've filled out all the fields, click "Submit".

Step 4. A Happiness Engineer will get back to you with either an email confirmation that your Special Project has been approved, or an email requesting additional information.

If you receive an email requesting additional information, please follow up with your Happiness Engineer and provide them with whatever additional information they requested to approve your project.

Once your project is approved, proceed to Step 5.

Step 5. After your Special Project has been approved, the Happiness Engineer assigned to your project will create an order with all the units needed for your project and place it on hold. By allocating inventory in advance for your order, preventing a potential shortage prior to your project's completion.

If your special project will take more than 4 hours, a time study will be conducted to get an estimate on completion time and costs. If you approve the time study, then the project will proceed and you'll continue to Step 6

Step 6. Your project will commence and once completed your account will be billed for materials and labor and informed via email of your project's completion.

You're Done!
