Although the holiday season seems to sneak up each year, we want you to be prepared for the rush so we created a list of things to check twice.



To keep your customers happy during this busy time of year, be sure to factor in the recommended send by dates for expected delivery by December 25. 

Please allow 24 hours to fulfill the order before the ship by date to ensure the package gets out on time.

Receiving & Special Project Timelines 

Peak season is synonymous with outbound orders, which means you'll need to have enough inventory on hand. It's imperative that you follow our receiving guidelines to ensure your inbound inventory is received as quickly as possible and ready to be picked. We don't want to be the Grinch, but if you do not follow our guidelines or schedule full truckloads or containers at least 48 hours in advance, ShipMonk has the right to refuse or have the carrier drop the trailer and receive the inventory at our earliest convenience. 

If you are scheduling freight through ShipMonk, we'll be sure to schedule delivery around the receiving schedule on your behalf. 


Also, Special Projects are typically completed in 5 business days from the moment they are submitted, but considering they are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis you'll want to get yours submitted as early as possible. If you have any Special Projects that need to be completed during November and December, please let your Happiness Engineer know in advance, so we can properly staff to accommodate your request and avoid any delays due to the holidays.


BFCM Final Checklist

Although these final checklist items may not apply to your account, please double-check to make sure you're prepared for BFCM.

  • Do you have enough inventory across all warehouses? 
  • Do you have enough custom packaging? 
  • Will you be setting up express shipping to extend your sales window (see tutorial below)? 
  • Are all your holiday shipping options mapped properly? 
  • Have you informed your Happiness Engineer with your peak season sales forecast?
